Genie Unveils the Telehandler Load Management System

Brisbane, Australia (March 5, 2007) - Genie proudly announces the arrival of Australia's only factory-fitted, factory-supported telehandler Load Management System (LMS).

For over six months, Genie engineers have been developing this system, which is already compliant to the upcoming Australian Standard 1418.19.

The LMS works with a wide variety of factory-approved attachments by:

• Measuring the load (in Kg) and displaying this on a screen in the cab, which allows the operator to know what weight is being lifted.
• Monitoring the load within the constraints of the load charts set by Genie, and restricting the operator from placing the load into an unsafe zone that could cause tip-over or structural damage to the machine.

An LMS-equipped machine, when used in conjunction with factory-approved attachments, means operating a telehandler with the latest in safety developments for the Australian market.

The LMS will allow Genie to develop specialised attachments by customer request. This brings value to the customer and the ability of Genie to react to any situation a customer may be faced with.

The launch of the LMS coincides with that of the newly designed GTH-4013AU, the first Genie telehandler to have the system available as an option for purchase.

The LMS will work on the GTH-4013AU with the following attachments:

• Standard forks (600 mm LC)
• 2 m 2000 kg jib
• 4 m 900 kg jib
• 3000 kg fixed hook
• Extended forks (900 mm LC)
• Forks side shift (600 mm LC)
• 800 L GP bucket

Over the next six months, Genie will be rolling-out LMS-ready versions of their entire telehandler range.

With many performance-based features and ease of operation, the LMS is admirably suited to the hire and construction industries.
